"That's too pretty to use!"

I get it. We are trained from birth to take care of pretty things and only "use" things that are utilitarian and plain. Setting aside any philosophical discussions on this subject or reassurances that my products will stand the tests of both time and use, I will leave you with a bit of wisdom from my wife and partner:

"It's okay to have nice things."

Buy it if it speaks to you. Use it and enjoy it if it makes you happy. Life's short enough without denying yourself something just because it's "too pretty to use".

Below are my "stock" items, things I keep a supply of that people have expressed a steady desire for and that, simply put, keep the lights on for the more intricate projects. A bit of a caveat though: I tend to purchase materials I find interesting and/or attractive, so these photos are representations of the final product, but individual pieces can and will vary. Each piece is hand made and it's components are hand selected to achieve the best outcome available. Cutting boards will still be the same size, general design and species mix, for instance, but will vary in appearance because I try to make the best use of the best material I have access to at any time.

Larger boards follow the same trend, adhering to the idea in the photo, but varying from board to board. With these large boards I am happy to provide photos of the actual item you will receive to ensure everyone is happy with the choice.
